Lance has been living with HIV for 25 years. He shares his life with his partner and their tortoiseshell cat Missy. He works for Positive Life NSW, a non profit community organisation representing the interests of people living with HIV. He advocates for people living with HIV to receive high quality medical, care and support services.

HIV doesn't have the public profile it used to. For a lot of people out there in our many communities, HIV is no longer something people think about. It's now not so much a problem of negative images, but one of hardly any images at all. But HIV is still here!

The stories of people living with HIV challenge prejudice, isolation and discriminatory attitudes by presenting a public face of the realities and diversities of living with HIV. They also raise awareness of the changing issues of HIV within gay and lesbian communities, HIV positive communities and broader communities and get people to talk about HIV.

These stories ask us to take responsibility and care, to regard each person represented as we would regard ourselves.

A special thank you to all the people who have been willing to share their stories with us.
