Due to an increasing number of HIV diagnoses being made by general practitioners in NSW, ASHM invites General Practitioners to one of their dinners - an update on HIV medicine. This evening will provide an overview of the epidemiology, natural history, testing and diagnosis in primary care and an overview of treatment available for HIV, aiming to increase HIV knowledge within the Divisions of General Practice.

A traditionally focused commemoration of the lives of both Aboriginal and other western Sydney people who have died of AIDS. Aboriginal teenagers from a local high school, who are learning DARUG language, will talk about the impact of HIV on their community, and women present will be asked to ochre the scarred Healing Tree. A barbeque will follow after the activity.
