What is World AIDS Day about?
World AIDS Day is observed on December 1 in over 190 countries worldwide. World AIDS Day and events and activities in the week leading up to it, aim to raise awareness in the community about HIV/AIDS, including the need for support and understanding for people living with HIV/AIDS, and the need for education and prevention initiatives.

- using condoms with new and casual partners,
- getting tested for HIV and other STIs
- never sharing injecting equipment
